Our PhD student Gerardo will present his Qualifying Examination next Monday at 2 pm, in the Seminar Room of the Cell and Molecular Biology Department. As part of the procedure, Gerardo will first give a talk about the mechanisms of gene regulation in Bacteria. Next, he will defend his submitted manuscript titled "Probing the limits of synthetic cis-regulatory elements for simultaneous recognition of multiple transcriptional factors in bacteria".
